Title: Assistant Director of Children’s Ministry (Birth - 4k)
Reports to: Family Ministry Pastor directly and Senior Pastor
Works Alongside: Children’s Ministry Team and Church Staff

Summary of Position:
This position is a part-time position. It is expected that the person filling this position will lead and work with volunteers to conduct successful children’s ministry at Kelleytown on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. They will directly work to communicate with volunteers on a weekly basis to make sure that all ministry assignments are covered; they will work alongside the ministry teams to keep a consistent schedule of volunteers. They will also work with the Family Ministry Pastor and the Children's Director of 5k - 5th Grade to coordinate the weekly activities of the children’s ministry and special events and programs.

Qualifications:
1. Pass a national background check.
2. Be in full agreement with KBC doctrinal statement, the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
3. Be in full agreement and guided by the KBC Constitution and By-laws, and the Personnel Policy.
4. Willingness to become an active member of KBC in both attendance and stewardship.
5. Possess a passion for the children of KBC, to see them come to know Christ as Savior and Lord.
6. Possess a love for the Hartsville community and Darlington County, and a growing desire to see Christ proclaimed throughout.

Expectations:
1. Work in partnership and under the leadership of the Family Pastor and alongside the 5k-5th grade Children's Director
2. Hands on leadership of all Sunday activities with the children’s ministry, scheduling volunteers and coordinating programing for children during Life Group time and worship, working with those who volunteer to make this ministry a blessing to the families of the children participating.
3. Hands on leadership of all Wednesday evening activities with children’s ministry, working with those who volunteer to make this ministry a blessing to the families of the children participating.
4. Plan, coordinate, and execute children’s activities monthly and more often during summer months in a team atmosphere with the Family Ministry Pastor and appropriate teams.

Work Hours:
1. Sunday: 8:00 am until 12pm weekly and any events planned for church or children
2. Wednesday: 4pm until 8pm
3. One other day in the office to plan and prepare for ministry events and opportunities.
